THE TREATMENT OF PTSD USING COGNITIVE-BEHAVIOUR THERAPY. (Queensland Program of Assistance to Survivors of Torture and Trauma 1998, The University of Queensland 1998, Commonwealth Rehabilitation Service – Ipswich 1998).

This one day workshop outlined some of the aetiology, phenomenology and treatment of PTSD from within a cognitive-behavioural framework.

PSYCHING THE INTERNET. (The Queensland Clinical College, February 1996).

This was a half day, hands-on, workshop, delivered to psychologists from the Queensland Clinical College, expounding upon the uses of the internet and demonstrating methods of obtaining and advertising services within the field of mental health.

A NEW TOOL FOR TREATING POST TRAUMATIC STRESS? (Australian Association of Cognitive and Behavioural Therapies, August 1995).

This was a brief workshop aimed at providing practicing clinical psychologists with appropriate assessment methodologies in relation to Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD). It also addressed two approaches towards the conceptualisation of PTSD, and outlined the main techniques used in one treatment method. This workshop was peer orientated and post-workshop satisfaction questionnaires were administered to those attending.

STRENGTH OVER STRESS. (Commonwealth Rehabilitation Service, Beenleigh {April 1995} & Ipswich {June 1995}).

These workshops were delivered to practicing personnel (mainly psychologists) who were treating clients for anxiety disorders. This workshop outlined the aetiology, epidemiology and course of major anxiety states as well as providing a set of protocols for the treatment of these problems. Following the first, day-long, workshop I was invited to present a similar one for CRS at another of their locations.
